The Trig TA50 Compact GPS Antenna is a lightweight, low-profile active GPS antenna designed for aviation installations where space and weight are important considerations. Designed for use with GPS receivers such as the Trig TN72, the TA50 provides a compact and straightforward solution for supporting GPS position data and ADS-B installations.

The TA50 is an active amplified GPS antenna, providing 26 dB of gain. Its compact puck-style design makes it particularly well suited to installations where a discreet antenna is preferred, including light aircraft, experimental aircraft, ultralights and gliders.

Depending on the installation, the TA50 can be mounted internally or externally. For reliable GPS reception, it should be positioned with a clear, unobstructed view of the GPS satellite constellation. Trig recommends installation over a suitable metallic ground plane for optimum performance.

The TA50 is available with either a QMA or SMA connector and with 1-meter or 3-meter cable options, allowing the appropriate configuration to be selected for the aircraft and GPS receiver. The QMA version provides a convenient direct connection to the Trig TN72 GPS position source.
