Aircraft SATCOM / Iridium / Weather Antennas
This category covers the satellite-band antennas we stock for airborne datalink, Iridium voice and data, and satellite weather receivers, along with combined units that pair a satellite element with GPS. Each product is listed by manufacturer part number with connector type and mounting footprint. Satellite systems are tightly coupled to their transceivers, so the antenna is normally specified by the equipment or system manufacturer rather than chosen independently.

Selecting a Satellite Antenna
Begin with the satellite transceiver or weather receiver. That equipment defines the antenna type, the acceptable cable loss and, in many cases, a specific antenna part number. Where an antenna combines a satellite element with GPS, each element must be acceptable to the system it feeds.
Confirm how many coax connections the antenna presents and how they map to the units in the aircraft. Combined antennas save a skin penetration but change the cabling arrangement compared with separate antennas.
Installation Considerations
Satellite antennas are usually top-mounted for sky view, which makes location, drainage and sealing part of the installation decision. Follow the antenna manufacturer's installation instructions and the approved data applicable to the aircraft for placement, bonding and sealing requirements.
