Matching an ELT Antenna to the Transmitter
ELT antennas are model-specific. The transmitter manufacturer publishes the antenna, coax and mounting hardware that form part of the approved system, and substituting a visually similar antenna is not an equivalent part. Identify the ELT make and model first, then match the antenna part number listed for it.
If you are replacing an antenna after inspection, damage or a battery-cycle event, keep the removed part number and check it against the current manufacturer documentation — antenna part numbers are sometimes superseded.
Installation and Documentation
